September 5th – 8th, 2024

The Hoboken Italian Festival is a four day festival of music food and fun from Thursday through Sunday. No day is greater however than Saturday, our “Feast” day. The day the 800lb statue of the Madonna Dei Martiri or Madonna of the Martyrs is carried through the streets of Hoboken.

2024 Vincenzo “Jimmy” & Anna De Pinto
Family Scholarship

 
 

Established in 1998, a one-time annual award of $5,000 is available to a qualifying high school senior in memory of Vincenzo “Jimmy” De Pinto, his wife Anna, and other members of the De Pinto Family for their contributions to the Societa Madonna Dei Martiri, the Hoboken Italian Festival and devotion to the Madonna.

Any application post marked after August 15, 2024 will be assessed a late fee. Rules, regulations, and important information are all outlined in the form.

 Tradition of the Madonna Dei Martiri

The tradition goes back to rule of Ladislao di Durazzo, the King of Napoli, in 1399. The festival was designed to celebrate the “Miracle” and blessings of the Madonna. Traditionally held on Sept. 8, the Universal Feast of the Nativity of Mary.
